Junior Prom Time

Well, it is Prom time where I live.

The beautiful time of year when

The young men and women 16-17 years of age

Celebrate with their

Junior Prom

A time when both boys and girls are dressed in

Their formal attire.

My handsome Grandson

Oh how proud this Grandma is!

His date for the evening

The formals were gorgeous

All the colors of the rainbow. . 

Just stunning

I am one proud Grandma. . 

This young man is not only good looking,

He is Good!

He carries a 4.0 grade point average.

He is a star athlete, football, basketball

And most of all he loves the Lord. . 

He plans  to graduate from high school next year

Then serve a 2 year mission for

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

My heart overflows with 

Blessings.

A Little Red Head Bird

Oh, Spring may truly be here!

Yesterday I saw a little

Red Head bird on my porch.

I didn't know what it was

And had to look it up on the internet

It is a Red Head House-finch.

I have never seen a Red one before.

My Daughter-in-law and Granddaughter was

With me, and we were all so excited.

It is the cutest little thing.

Oh, How I Hope I See It Again.

A Spring Change

Just for a little change. . 

I redecorated the top of the t.v. hutch

Nothing fancy. . .a little red and white 

I hope the berried will do for 

Spring. . . 

I love them in my Fleur De Lise pitcher.

I think berries are pretty any time of the year.

My little lambies are always cute in any vignette.

They have a story, as most of my things have a story.

The little gray and white one is always in my curio

She is a treasure to me. . .

As you can see my living room is very colorful

I use a lot of color in my decorating.

I like the look of red and white ticking.

I made the table-top runner in ticking.

For some reason, I like something "under" my displays

Just a quirky little thing I have. . .

Today is a beautiful spring day.

But, it isn't going to last long.  Storms are on their way.

My Granny

Well, hello!

Oh, life if a busy place to be. . .

Don't you agree?

My tired hands, eyes, feet, and back

Can attest to the fact that 

My Life is Busy!

I finished my Granny Square Pillows

I am so pleased with how they turned out.

Each one is different. . .their own personalities.

I love, love this one. . 

I think I will make a blanket from this idea.

They are small, medium, and large. . 

Just a simple Granny Square

With so many different colors.

Granny Squares work up very fast.

I make a fabric pillow first and then I hand stitch

The square to the front.

They look so pretty in my home.

Very eye pleasing.

Whenever I work on the Granny Square,

I think of my own Granny

Granny Daley, my Dad's mother

My life was very influenced by both of my Grandmother's

My Granny taught me many things.

She was a kind gentle woman.

She loved the Lord and she glowed with

That love. . 

She was very soft spoken, and quite shy.

She was always busy. . 

She raised nine children. . .yes, I said nine.

She devoted her life to my Papa and her

Children, and Grandchildren.

I love my Granny very much.

The older I get the more I realize what a

Profound influence she was on me.

She was a beautiful crocheter.

I am sure I inherited my talents from her.

I have some of the delicate crochet work she did

I cherish her memory.

I pray that as her granddaughter

My life will emulate the beauty of

My Granny.

April Showers

Oh, what a beautiful April Day!

Showers are abundant where I live.

It is so refreshing, and beautiful.

I love April Showers.

The beautiful earth needs the moisture of

The heavens. . .everything grows so much better.

The May flowers will bloom 

This sweet flower just keeps on giving. . .

I showed you how beautiful it was back in February

Well. . .it is April and it still gives me smiles.

You can see it peeking from the blinds

It loves the April showers even though it is inside.

Is that not so precious?

I have been so busy crocheting.

I think I have crocheted around the earth and back again.

I am finishing up the Granny Square project.

I am sewing it all together this evening.

I can't wait to show you what I have created.

When it is done, I will work on another project.

So many ideas running through my brain. .
