Christmas ~ This Year Is A Blur

Christmas
The time of the season when
All is Calm All is Bright.
It is the Season to be Happy, and Joyful.

Safely to say for many this Christmas
is full of Sorrow and Grief.

Not to mention a time of worry and stress.

My dear sweet Sister -in-law
Julie
passed away unexpectedly
December 15th.

Alan my brother and his beautiful wife Julie
Our hearts are broken.
And my brother's heart is in pieces.

Julie was a beautiful person,
One of the most charitable, gentle people I have ever known.
She was a hard worker.
She is the mother of 6 children.
Her children adored her. But not as much as Julia adored her children.
She was devoted to her husband, Alan
51 years of marriage says a lot.
She took care of her parents as they aged and slipped from this life.
She was the youngest of 3 sisters and 1 brother.

She loved my family.  We raised our children together.
She was a sister to me.  I only have my brother, no other siblings.
I never liked to say she was my Sister -in-law.
She was my Sister.

So. . .this year Christmas was sad.
But I must say,
We were all comforted. . . The Prince of Peace
Whose"Peace surpasses all other Peace"
The tiny Babe born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago
was and is Jesus The Christ.
He healed the lame, brought sight to the blind.
ministered among the lowest of low,
and confounded the learned.
He is Master of the Earth and all things upon it.
He is Jesus Christ, the Great God of the Universe.
When our hearts are heavy, and tears of sorrow fall
It is He who will heal our broken heart,
He will not leave us comfortless.
And in His Time He will restore all things.
And wipe away our tears.

I believe in
Jesus Christ
and all His promises will be fulfilled.

Yes, when in our darkest hours,
there is still much
Joy, much Happiness.
All is calm all is bright.

Christmas Tree 2019

Well as you may know
Christmas this year  is not how I want it to be.

And the Christmas tree I improvised
was making me even more miserable.

I have got to have some Christmas cheer in my home.
So, Today I re-decorated my tree.

I feel much better. Not the best tree I have decorated,
but. . . it will do.
My tangled mess is not as overwhelming to me tonight.
This is the most Glorious Time of The Year.
It is when we celebrate the Savior, Jesus Christ's birth.
I want to feel the Spirit of Christmas and
most of that feeling is within my home.

I will enjoy my last Christmas in my little Condo
with my simple decorated tree.

There is no place like home
especially at
Christmas!

A Winter Wonderland

Oh yes, we have a lot of snow
here in norther Utah.

And I mean a lot. . . 18 inches
here at my little bungalow

Thanksgiving 2019 is only a memory now.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
All of my family. . . 20 and 3 more.
I believe it was one of our best.
All gathered together at my
daughter's beautiful home.
It truly was a day of feasting, laughing,
visiting. . . and best of all
Continuing to build our bond of belonging
to an incredible Family.

The door has now opened to
the most glorious time of the year.
Christmas!

I say let it all begin!
Just what I am doing today...
In the mist of getting ready to pack-up
my belongs. . .I am moving mid January
I will still pause to decorate for
the Christmas holiday.
So. . . I hope you will stay with me
as I take down the everyday. . . and
minimally put up the holiday decorations.

See you as soon as I get my mess cleaned up.

One Thing Then Another

It seems there is always something to
make life difficult.
I don't mean to be unthankful,
or negative. .
BUT, I am tired of being in a
constant state of feeling unsettled.
I received the word from my Landlord that
my rent will increase January 1st.
And my condo will go on the market
For Sale!

I will be leaving the little place I  have called home.
I will be moving in January.

I was getting ready to decorate for Christmas
when I received the notice.

Nothing like having the joy of living and decorating
knocked out from under me.
I don't do change. . .  like moving very well.
I am sure it stems from my childhood
but it really doesn't matter
It is what it is.
I am moving.
I don't know what or where I will
Call Home.

My cute little condo will only
be a memory. . . like so many things in my life.

I will keep you posted.

This and That

Normally I am really into this time of year.
I normally enjoy getting my house all
decorated for Halloween.
But. . . .
Not this year!
I guess I am just preoccupied with other things. Maybe I am not really into all the re-decorate and then re-decorate again.   It is very possible I am just tired. . . ! And not interested.

Last year I scaled down on decorating, but I still
set out some of my favorite things.

My little "Witchey Witch" is a favorite of mine.
And her shoes!
I think they are darling.
And last year. . .
I was busy getting this little cutie ready
to give to my Granddaughter
for her birthday

Of course every charming Witchey Witch
Knows It Is All In The Shoes.
But this year, I am just not into
the Witchey-Witch or
her shoes
Or pumpkins or Orange or Black.

I am busy working on
other things.
It takes time to do the stitches of
cross stitch.
And sewing pieces to a quilt.
But when they are done, you will be the
first to know.
So for now. . .
Halloween is suffering at my house.

Stayed tuned

Lovin' and Livin' In Thankfulness

Hello
I am so sorry I have not been
posting lately.
I am just so overwhelmed with
my daily to-do list.
I knew once my summer break ended
I would not have time for everything I
like to do, and that includes
Blogging.

Besides working outside of my home
I continue to do many hobbies.
right now I am embroidering some of
my Christmas gifts.
As you may know hand-work takes a lot of time.

I will soon have some completed pieces
I will share with you.

In the mean time I will share with you some of my
October photos.
This is a beautiful time of year.

Oh how I love October.
The earth is beautiful.
I am Thankful for Season's

I will be back soon!

Enjoy your little spot of earth
It's October.
Be Thankful for Lovin' and Livin'
In this beautiful world.

I AM Happy It Is OCTOBER

Well hello there!
And
Welcome to October

It is true, I am happy to live in a world that has
October!
I like this time of year.
I am glad I live in a part of the earth that I get to
experience the changing of seasons.
Oh it is changing all right,
Raining here, temps are dropping.
I actually switched the furnace on.
Ya, it is true! It is changing.

Speaking of changing. . .
I am still changing and adding things in my home
to reflect the changing season
Fall.

I really don't meed another fall wreath,
But Hey!
It was on sale!  70% off. How can I pass it up,
besides I was up for a challenge.
Oh it was in poor shape.
I think it turned out kind of cute.

I changed The Shelf. .
I just didn't like my first decorating arrangement.
you can see it Here
I love the amber vase that I recently acquired.
And those two Harvest plates are some of my favorites.
I also wanted a more simple look.
I really like The Shelf all decorated for the season.

My refinished buffet is looking pretty

This is her first Fall decorations.
She has always been fun to decorate,
but with her new brown/white paint re-do
she seems to be even more fun and more beautiful.

Well I have no worries Teddy is on guard!
He actually thinks he owns the neighborhood.

Yes sir, Little Teddy is a diligent guard dog!
He lets me know if someone or something
or whatever it maybe is outside of his window
or anywhere near his domain.
But he will run like the wind to the protection of
his Mommy (me) if he thinks he might be in "real danger"
Oh my little buddy,Teddy Roosevelt.....
His brother Cash is in the bedroom
under the bench in his snuggly bed
Teddy is too noisy for Cash!

I hope you are having a wonderful
First October.

A New Header

Hello!

Oh it is a lovely day, cool temperatures
makes me a happier person.

I have a short post today.
I just wanted to draw your attention to my
New Header

I like changing my header with the seasons.
I think I like making headers.
It lets me use my creative ideas, and
I can use my photos and be creative with them.

I used this picture from a couple of years ago.
I like it.  I especially like the simplicity
of my Autumn decorating.
I think I will re-visit that again!

Next I used a photo I took a year or more ago of the
tree in front of my Great-grandpa's house.
I remember the day was so beautiful
and the sky was that deep rich turquoise blue
that only comes in September skies.
I walked out of my Aunt's house
(which is right next door my Great-grandpa's house)
I turned and looked up at the tree that holds so many
memories of family gatherings underneath
her branches and snapped a picture.

I am so glad I caught this on camera.
There are times when I get a camera snap
that speaks to me.  They don't come very often
but when you catch it.....it is priceless.

I put the two pictures together to create my
Autumn Header.

She is a keeper!

Have a wonderful day.

Fall On The Shelf

Hello my friends.
So glad you stopped by.

Just a short update on fall decorating.

The Amber Vase is one I recently acquired. I love it!
I really like to decorate with the few pieces of Amber I have.

I don't have a mantle, so I decorate my shelf.
My round coffee table and my shelf are always changing.

I use Picmonkey to edit my pictures.  Well, they are changing things.
Now remember I do not like changes. Especially Tech changes.
Once I learn a program, it is hard for me to re-learn.
I was reading another blogger Common Ground and she expressed she was having a hard time with the changes Picmonkey is making/
Well I am telling you I don't like it at all.
I did my editing of theses two photos and I love them.
I have no idea where they saved them on my computer.
Ahgggg!
Change, that is all there is to life, Change!
I know, I know, it is all the process of life.
I guess I am having a little bit of a hard time
with changes that are going on in my personal my life.

But I do like the change of decor on my shelf.
So I guess there are some changes I like.

I hope you are having a good day.

The weather is "CHANGING" where I live.

A Fall-ish Bit of Decorating

Well Hello!
I am trying to do a little
Fall-ish Decorating.

And to tell you the truth. . . .
I am not doing very well with it!
Not only that but I have lost the touch
of taking pictures.

So here is just a little bit of my effort
to bring some Fall Into My Home

I like to add some of my
Amber Glass
to my fall decorations
This is new to me. I bought it from
someone selling on FB's
Marketplace.  It is gorgeous!

Amber Glass, Wooden beads, and a
candle or two, oh,don't forget a pumpkin.
A nice orange pumpkin will do.

So, there you have it. In a nutshell.
I have really cut back on my decorating.
Decorating and re-decorating is hard work for me.

But I can't give it up.
It is in my genes to just keep
Decorating.

I hope you are getting more decorating
done than I am.  I truly love
visiting the small blogger.
The ones who blog for the pure
love of decorating.
I am so happy you stopped by,

Have a wonderful day and weekend.

The Heavens Opened And It Rained

Oh yes, The thunder rolled and the
Heavens opened and it
Rained!

It was a beautiful rain.
One of those that gives you a soothing feeling.

Children playing in the rain.
What a beautiful sight and sound!

No lightening that I could see.

I could see the rain dancing on the top of
Little Yellow Shed.

Tiny back yard loved the rain drops.
The plants were loving the much needed drink of
pure natural water from rain.
I think even the concret enjoyed the cooling
water of rain drops.

It is amazing how much greener the grass will be.
You can water from a hose all you want, but
there is nothing like Rain.

It has cooled down the outside temperature.
There is a little peek of sunshine now,
But I hope it rains a little more.

I have had a migraine that started last night
and lasted until just a couple of hours ago,
So I am pretty much done for.
A migrain drains me.
After it is over I feel like I have
been through "the ringer."
And I guess I have been. . . !

I hope you are having a lovely
September Sunday.

Hello September

Well here we are. . . . it is
September
It is a short little month, so I have to move
a little faster, before September gets away from me.
I have a few hopes for September,
Top on my list is. . .Please cool down!
I am really tired of being so hot.
I want to enjoy the cool evenings. . .
I want to go outside to water
and enjoy my tiny yard,
And
I really like September. . . But
you go too fast, so could you slow down?
I want to get some things done. OK?

Well, I realized I had not shown my cute
little Aunt Carol Hutch for a long time.
It is one of my favorite things to decorate.
And I am getting ready to change it.
So before I change here she is with her
Blue and White and a few other things.

I love this hutch.  It is so fun to decorate for seasons or holidays.
I have had my blue and white plates and accessories out
for the late summer.  I come across some of my silver pieces
and I added them.  I always like my white roosters

It is hard to get a good picture of her.  She is in a little
space in my kitchen, she shares with my oak dining table
and a little yellow book shelf I decorate. Oh my gosh!
I don't think I have shown you that.
Well I know what I will do for another post.

Well, tomorrow I will start to bring out a few Fall-ish things
And start to change to a new season.  Which I love.
I love the colors of Fall, and the Textures, and Cozy Feeling
Fall decorating gives me.

So don't give up on me I will be right back
as soon as I complete a few things for
September & Fall Decorating.

In the mean time I hope you like my
Aunt Carol Hutch ~ Blue & White.
