Summer Time Melons

Oh What Do You Do In The Summer Time?
Well, let me tell you, my summer is going too fast.
It has been hotter than ever before, therefore,
I haven't been out in my little yard like I had planned.
Hot for me means staying inside where it is air-conditioned!
But, I have managed to accomplish a few things.
Doing a little craft painting this time.
Water Melons, says Summer to me.
And we will soon have our own Utah  Watermelons.
And a little sitting at the computer and playing with my photo editing program.
I just love technology, for a long of reasons. . .it can certainly make a
Artistic Photographer out of me. . .
So in all my craziness. . I think I may try my hand at selling
Some of my artistic work.
And I think I will start with these cute Melons.
I will let you know how it goes.
So, just what do you do in the lazy "dog days" of summer?

Continued Precious Moments

Well, I promised I would show more of my
Precious Moments Collection.
The things I collect bring me happiness.
I love beautiful things. . .
I enjoy having beautiful things in my home.
There are just a few more of the
Precious Moments.
Many of them have been given to me by friends and family.
In times of joy, in times of sadness.
All a reminder of Cherished Precious Moments.
My daughter gave this to me and my husband on our
25th Wedding Anniversary.
As many of you know my husband died shortly after.
This is truly a Cherished Precious Moment.
This is the February and April Birthday Precious Moments.
I cherish them because two very important people in my life have
Birthdays in these months.

I cherish the moments and I am thankful for little things that
Remind me of those moments. . .It puts a smile on my face.
This Precious Moment is The Gardener.
When my precious Aunt Carol passed away
One of my children found this for me.
My Aunt Carol loved a beautiful garden.
And she loved beautiful things.
This little figurine, reminds me of my
Cherished Precious Aunt Carol.
I hope you have enjoyed viewing some of my collections
And be sure to come back. . .
Oh, my goodness, I have more collections.

Are they not the cutest things?
These Little Darlings represent each of my four children
Their birthday month.
November is for Mathew

Oh, how Precious these are to me!
This little guy was given to me in memory of my Daddy
My Daddy was a veteran of World War II.
My heart soars when I look at this treasure. .
This little Precious boy in the wheelchair is in memory of
My Daddy also.
You see my Daddy was severely injured in a car accident
When he was a young man. . He lived the rest of his life
In a wheelchair.
Do you not think this is a Precious Moment of remembrance for me?

I Just Love My Shed!

I know, how can anyone be so excited
about a garden shed? Well, I can

I am telling you I just love my shed.
I did it all by myself.  I painted it, I decorated it and I am proud of it.
Not only my shed but I am in love with all the cute garden decor,
 and this and that's.
My yard is just tiny. . .only the size of a postage stamp.
It is just amazing what you can plant and enjoy even in a tiny little space.
You see, this is what I believe. . .We are all Stewards of this beautiful earth.
No matter where we live, nor our circumstances, we can make the world
A little prettier, and a little greener, and a little more colorful.
This cute little ladder back chair,
I found at the curb side for the garbage to pick up.
I did ask the people in the house if I could have it. . .They said yes.
Cute little thing, I saved it from the landfill.
Oh, and this little treasure. .
Well, my Granny gave me this, over 40 years ago. .
Yip, I wanted a milk can before it was even popular to have one
It has been with me for a long, long time.
I always think of my Granny when I see it.
It makes me smile and brings back memories.
So, there you have it. . my tiny  postage stamp yard.
I am sure this won't be the last of my posts about my shed
And my tiny little yard.
My son helped me with a lot of the work, but I did most of it.
I will tell you right now. . . I am not the same as I use to be.
I mean, it beat me up. . .planting, painting, shoveling, planting more.
Moving stones, and rocks, and lifting heavy things.
I am no spring chick. . .what I could do even 10 years ago. .
About kills me now. . .
But, oh how I enjoy my little back yard.

Be sure to come back. . for more of my projects.

A Little Bit of This and That

Well, hello friends,
I hope you all have a wonderful
July 4th celebration.
The summer is upon us. .
The weather has been over 100 degrees
And we have had thunder showers. . .
Ah! I love a summer rain.
Of course when it doesn't rain on a fun outdoor party.
I leave my house decorated in the
Red, White, and Blue
In Utah we get another special celebration
July 24th
Pioneer Days!
Celebrating the Pioneers in 1848
Entering the Great Salt Lake Valley.
Seems like we are celebrating all through the month
Of July. .. . And this year was extra special.
 My grandson come home from
Serving a 2 year Mission
For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Oh, how very blessed I feel having this precious
Grandson serve honorably on his mission.
He served in the Tampa Florida Mission.
So needless to say we have been celebrating.
Spending time with family is very important to me.
Not much else has changed around my place
Anyway in the line of decorating. . .and
HomeKeeping.
I did try to change the look of my television cabinet.
Oh, gee! I don't know if I like it or not.
I will leave it for a few weeks and if I am still
Uneasy about the designs I may have to paint over them.
They are just stenciled on, so no big deal to change.
Do you ever do that? Change something. . .then
Wonder if you did the right thing?
In my mind the idea looked great. . ha,ha, ha
In reality. . .Hmmmm, I just don't know!
It was time to change my shelf.
I bought a new one. . .
It has a wider shelf and will be easier to decorate.
Also it has the pegs and bead-board. . .
I really like it.
I don't think I have shown you the
Granny Square red, white and blue pillow I crocheted.
Love, love the Granny Square.
Well, things won't change for a few weeks in this room.
By August I will be changing out accessories.
A few changes for late summer will be coming.
I am still working on my tiny backyard.
It got so hot I couldn't do anything.
I hope I have some updates for you.
There is always a project or two going on with me.
I like to keep my hands and my mind busy.
Hope you will come back and visit.
In the mean time stay cool and keep busy.

Celebrating America

Well, I am all ready for the
Celebration of  Freedom!
My Home will tell you
I love the 4th of July!
My Aunt Carol Hutch is ready to celebrate.
Oh, how I love to decorate her.
4th of July seems to fit her well. .
She is an American thru and thru.
Aunt Carol Hutch made by Ethan Allen. .
And she is all mine.
My July 4th plates say a lot here. .
Let Freedom Ring. . .!
I am proud of the Red, White and Blue!
Oh, yes, indeed I am proud to be an American
I proudly proclaim, I am a daughter of this great land.
My father, my uncles, my cousins, and my ancestors
Have fought to keep this land free. .
And I intend to do all I can. . .to also defend our Freedoms.
The United State of America
The greatest land on this earth. . .
Nothing compares to it.
Yes, oh Yes,
Celebrate this Great Country
American
