Where Did This Week Go?

Well where did this week go?
I have been so busy I missed it. . . . .
My house looks like a mad woman's nightmare!
I have been busy doing other things and have neglected
the day to day upkeep of my house.
Oh, well it is waiting for!

I am a little stressed though.
I did some rearranging on my blog
and now I can't see my posting!
If I use Internet Explorer
I can't see my posts,
but
If I use Firefox
I can see everything!
Hmmmmmm!
Don't know what I did
I just hope you, my peeps  viewers
can see my blog!
That damn darn Microsoft Explorer
sometimes plays tricks!
Hope you have a great Friday!
I am off to go shopping with a couple
of little darlins' and of course their
mom will be with us.

Have a good one!

She Is A Beauty

Just completed this little
Beauty
for my daughter-in-law
GinaI found her on KSL Classified
No, not Gina, the table!
She (the table!) doesn't look too bad
in this picture,
but the color was yucky
and the paint was all chipped
and not looking too good.
So you know the process
sand, prime, paint. . ..
I had to bring it all inside
because
the day I was working on the table
it was hot, hot!
The paint does funny things when it is not
the right tempeture. . . . . . . . . .. anyway mine does.
The paint I used is Martha Stewart
Fennel Seed is the color
That Martha knows her colors!
This is her all completed.
Isn't she pretty?
(Ya, Gina is pretty too!)
I almost didn't want to part with this.
It went perfect in my house.
But,
I am happy to give it to Gina
she has been wanting a tall slender table.

She is a Beauty!
The color is perfect.
I think I am going to do some other
pieces in this color
I really like it.
And
KSL Classified is a great place
(for those of you not living in Utah KSL Classified is like Craigslist)
Also
Gina and Blake
Love
the table!

Just So You Know ~ ~ Projects I Am Working On

Just So You Know
I have several projects I am working on
So the blog may be neglected for
a day or two.
Gotta get these things done! This cupboard door has been sitting around
for several months.
I know what I want to do with it,
But
I keep putting it behind everything else.
So
Now is the time to "Getter Done"

Oh, Yes, and these stool frames!

They too have been waiting to be completed.

I had so much fun doing my Quatrefoil stool

that I just had to do more stools
And this little darlin'

This is my focus for today.

She will be done by this evening.

I PROMISE

And yes, I am painting in my dining room!

It is way too hot outside to paint.

I tried it yesterday and I about died, and the

paint does funny things when it is hot.

So I moved it inside.

Now, if I get off this computer, I will

be able to go to work and finish up these

projects.

Spray Paint & Cheap Finds

Spray Paint and Cheap Finds
And what do you get?
Well!
I will show you
some of the things I get. . . . .This little table was the first thing I ever
spray painted.
Really!
I had never thought to use spray paint.
This poor little table I have had for many many years
and it was not looking so good.
SO
One day I decided to paint it. . . .
I was just new to the Bloggerville
of home decor
&
I noticed everyone was spray painting
SO
It seemed the right thing to do for my table.
I wanted a "grouping" on my bare wall
So
I found cheap frames at the DI
and the shelf I already had
&
Can you guess what I did?
Of course, I spray painted everything!

Even the little birdie was spary painted!
(I know hearts are not in style right now, I am working on that)
I wish I could take better pictures
It is really cuter than it looks in these pictures.
(I am working on my picture taking also)
I put fabric and paper in the frames
but left some "blank"
The "grouping" is still a
work in progress

I love Spray Paint!
Nothing is safe when I have spray paint.

My friend says you can spray paint anything
except
WATER!
(I believe that is true)

I am heading over to some Linky Parties with this one.

Quatrefoil Tray & Hand-Outs

Well, Good Morning Monday!
Where have you been?
I have been waiting for you!
Let's get going on this new week. . . .
I have a lot to do!
Oh, but first I want to talk about yesterday. . . Sunday
My lesson in Young Women's was about
Patriotism. . . . .
Great lesson. . . . . . We talked about how we can be good citizens.
Well informed
Serving
&
Respectful
I gave each girl a hand-out that I had made.
Because we talked about the FLAG of the United States of American
my hand-out had the
History of the flag
The proper way to display the flag
flag etiquette
And a neat ceremony used by the Air Force Academy
when the flag is folded . . . . . .
Sunday was a great day!
I like Sundays
A little project from last week. . .
You know how much I love
QUATREFOIL!
A few weeks ago I did a darling stool
and I used the Quatrefoil Design on the top of the stool
Oh, it is cute, and I love it!
Well, I found a "pizza pan" at Wal-Mart
it cost me $4
I really like the silver color and it is round
and it is magnetic .
SO.. . .
Why not do the quatrefoil design on it
AND
hang it on the wall in the kitchen
AND
use it as a magnetic message board?
(can't hang it yet, waiting for the Disc-charger to come in the mail)
So
I did the design, using a black Magic Marker (love those things)
Used my same template from the stool -
traced the design on the pan
filled in the lines with the MM pen
and I have my cute round message board.
Was not hard at all. . . !
Making my stool first helped.
I knew some of the tricks of using my template.

As they say in Bloggerville
EASY PEASY!

So now MONDAY
Lets get things moving for this week!

Glass and Gorilla Glue

I don't even know why I do this!
Really, I am not very good at it. . .
I mean, my blog can't even compare to some
of the other blogs out there in Bloggerville.
And the talent that is on the other bloggs is incredible.
I feel like I am the lost soul looking in through the window
at all these bright, charming, talented other people.
I enter all these blog linky parties
just hoping I will be accepted by the
in crowd of Bloggerville.
My ideas are old-fashioned,
My presentation lacks luster and pazazz.
My photo shots are crappy
I don't know how to take good pictures
and a good photo shows off you project.
Oh darn! I am having a pitty party!
But, the show must go on
I am committed to this blog and the people that do
take the time to visit.
So, I will pull my boot straps up and wade through my
self pitty and I will try to make the best of it.
I have decided I am not a "Treasure Finder"
I am an old JUNKER.
Ya, that is what it is called. . . . .
Doesn't sound very good
but it is true.
I am admitting it I am
Just an Old Junker
Some of the junk I like to find are pieces of glass
candy dishes, plates, bowls, cloche's and candle sticks.
Then . . . . . .

I use my new found love. . . . well I have always loved it.
GORILLA GLUE!
I glue the candle stick to the candy dish. . . .

I weigh it down with something heavy, (a book is good)
wait about 15 minutes.
and I have a new found creative object.

You can put candy and treats right in the dish,
there is no "toxic" glue that touches the inside.
I think the dish has an elegant look to it.
Something different and unique.

Even things I already have, I have added a pedestal to it.
My Aunt gave me the dried flowers in the jar,
It wasn't something I really cared about,
But once I raised it up on the pedestal
It gave it a new, more elegant look

I find the glass at my favorite thrift store DI.
I can always find plenty of candle holders and glass bowels
It is sometimes hard to find the ones with lids on them.
Those are the ones I like
I use my favorite glue, Gorilla Glue
and I have something that looks
unique and different.

I will soon be showing you the rest of my shelf
and the grouping around the shelf. . . . . .

I just hope you will all be patient with me
as I learn how to live in Bloggerville.
And I hope I can lean how to deliver my things the way
so many of you do.
My heart is in this. . . . . .
I love seeing all the other bloggs
and the great ideas and projects out there
I want to do so many of them.
I guess everything takes time.
And I know that probably better than most.
