Passing On The Pink

Oh, My, Goodness!
My little granddaughters keep me busy. .
And how do you ever say no to a Granddaughter,
Or Grandson for that matter?
Well, whatever the little Princesses or Princes want
Grandma tries to please!

Princess Brissa just inherited
My Grandmother's Dresser. . .
It is nothing fancy, but
It belonged to my Grandma Dot
And it now belongs to my Granddaughter.
But first it needed to be PINK
This is how it looked. . .very 1950's
This is the Grandma Dot Dresser now!
Just perfect for the Princess bedroom!
Grandma Dot would be happy that her dresser is so
Bright and PINK
I think it is fun to pass things on in a family.
My Grandma would be so happy that her
Great-great Granddaughter, Brissa
Has the beautiful PINK dresser. . .. that once belonged to her.
It was a pleasure and a joy for me
 To paint it PINK.

Hope you will visit Beverly at

Here Comes The Bride

I am so excited to showcase my
Wedding!
Oh, it was held over 44 years ago. . .
And yes, everything is vintage.
December 9, 1966
I married the love of my life
The day was gorgeous and the evening delightful and enchanting.
The day before it had snowed,
So it looked like a Winter-Wonderland
Because it was in December my colors were Red and White.
My Bridesmaids wore red brocaded satin dresses. . .
The bouquets were all white flowers, with tiny red accents.
My wedding dress has very simple lines.
Just like the 1966 brides all wore.
My dear sweet Aunt made the dress.
I still have it. . . .
(no I can't fit into it)
A very precious memento of our wedding is
The Cake Topper
After nearly 45 years I still have my cake topper.
It is very vintage.
It sits in the protection of my curio in my living room
My grandchildren love to look at it.
On our One Year Anniversary my husband gave me
This beautiful strand of pearls. . . .
I was so thrilled. . . he told me I was his precious pearl. .
The pearl has become the symbol of our love!
My husband and I only had 25 years together.
He died at a young age.
I have missed him so much. . . .my life has never been the same.
But, because I know that
  Families are Forever
I know that Someday
My Husband and I
Will Be Together Again

I am joining Angelic Accents for her
Be sure to visit this sweet blog party. . .

A Thrift Store Treasure

I am up to my head and beyond. .
Working on my project..
It is going to be a lo n g  week.
So far I have had 110 Diet Cokes. ..
But then who is counting?
The harder I work the more DC I drink.
(could be worse!) Right?
But, in all the chaos I wanted to show you
Couple of cute little thrift store finds. . .
I really like this porcelain figure of a woman.
She is so delicate and pretty.
Now I couldn't pass up these three little frames.
Notice the cowboy hat and cowboy boots?
I have three little CowGirls!
And their pictures in these frames will perfect.
Well, I wanted to make sure you knew I was still alive.
But drowning in a major project. . .
I will be back to show you.. . .
Come back. .. .K
I will be linking this to. . .

Tender Sweet Pansy

Little Purple Pansies
Touched with Yellow/Gold
Growing in one corner of the Garden old
We are very tiny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden you and I.
I would sing this little song in my Church
When I was a child. . . .
Maybe that is why I love little Pansy flowers. .
I think they are so tender and sweet.
Did you know the Pansy name is a French word
meaning "pensee"?
Which means
Thoughts.
The flower is thought to bring the
Thoughts of Loved Ones. . .
The myth is that you can see a
 Loved One
In the Face of A Pansy
In Victorian times
A young man would send
His girlfriend a small
Pansy Bouquet which meant
 He was thinking of her!
Gosh I wish someone would send me a
Pansy Bouquet!
Enjoy the Pansies in your Garden. . .

Cristie's Cottage

While visiting the Homeland a few weeks ago
I visited a very dear friend.
Cristie
She is a friend from way back in time. . . .
She is amazingly talented and has the cutest and cleaver ideas.
Her little Cottage is so unique and very Cristie
Her small front porch invites you in. . .
She has a lot of cute accents and vintage/collectibles
 The Fireplace
She has a lot of shelves. .above her windows
Her son is a woodworking craftsman
She has vintage table napkins for window dressing.
A beautiful vintage china hutch holds many collectibles.
She even decorated the front of her dishwasher.. .
Isn't that clever.
 A coffee table/Shadow box
She made from an old weathered window casing.
The gate that leads to her garden
A beautiful ole tub planted with flowers. . .
The day I was there was windy and overcast. . .
So, I am going back on a sunny day to get better pictures.
My Friend Cristie. . .  Her Sweet Little Cottage.
Thank you for coming by. . .
Come back again. . . .K

Happy To Have Flowers

The weather here in Utah has been very STRANGE!
It is the First day of JUNE
The early summer flowers should be in full bloom. .
They are just beginning to bud!
Mother Nature has really played tricks on us
We live in the Desert!
We have had constant rain . . . . not the usual desert weather!
But,
No Worries. ..
The flowers some how always show their beauty!
In my little part of the world I found some
Beautiful Flowers. .

The Iris are in bloom

And this large beautiful Peony is in bloom
The peony still has some tight buds. . . but with the
Warm days ahead they will show their beauty. . .
One of my favorites is the cute little Pansie
Who doesn't love the little Pansie Face. .
I can just see the personality . . .

My friend has a rocking chair all in bloom!
I will show you more of her garden later.
Are you seeing Mother Nature's Bouquet?
I am going to link this with these wonderful blogs.
